Astromeet at Little Bay – Nightscape and Astrophotography

About the event

Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Jay Evans as we explore the night skies along Sydney’s rugged coastline at the hidden gem of Little Bay.

As we gather along the coastline, we’ll traverse the beach and rocky sandstone cliffs, positioning ourselves to capture the eastern rise of the Milky Way. This session is designed for both landscape astrophotographers and seascapers, blending nightscape techniques with coastal compositions. We’ll cover the fundamentals of landscape astrophotography, discuss nightscaping techniques, and explore the coastline for unique compositions that make this location stand out among Sydney’s astrophotography hotspots.

Prepare to be enthralled at the clear night skies as we journey through the night, capturing the stars and milky way. This is an unforgettable experience where you’ll photograph the Milky Way, star trails, and the rugged coastal beauty of Little Bay.
