Join me for a hands-on workshop that gives you the insight and tools to make the secret sauces for striking, unforgettable images.
First, we'll check over the key elements. Next, we fix the learning by putting them into use. Then we sink that in by analysing your work. You will also learn from seeing what others see.
Three sessions in a day
We follow a really successful format: learn in the morning, embed the learning with practice in the afternoon.
In the morning we get inspired from the most effective image features — composition, colour, tone — to make your photographs more expressive, and winning.
Over lunch, it's your choice: pop out to shoot locally and bring back your results. Or take it easy.
In the afternoon, we will look at select, hot-off-the-camera images to extract the mine of information that is present in every single image. We can also look at images you bring to the session.
We all want to create images that delight the eye and captivate imagination. In this workshop you will learn the solid steps that you can use for anything, and forever.
What we will cover
Through clear examples, lively discussion, and plenty of visual inspiration from the greats, you’ll learn how to:

We’ll put abstract ideas into practice and learn them well but using them right away. The process sharpens your image vocabulary: invaluable whether you shoot landscapes, portraits, street, or travel photography.
