About the event
Join me for a sunset seascapes shoot at Mount Maunganui beach.
This is a great opportunity to practice both short and long exposures around the rocks with Mt Maunganui as the subject during sunset, as well as wet sand reflections on the beach and some intentional camera movement.
In the event of bad weather, the back up date for this shoot will be Sunday 13 October so please keep that date free also.
Please Note: You don't need a Sony camera to attend this event, but a selection of Sony cameras and lenses may be available to try during the evening. Please message me if there is anything specific you would like to try.
Techniques covered
- The art of good composition.
- How to capture Intentional Camera Movement (ICM).
- How to capture slow shutter speed shots of the waves and rocks on the beach and the best settings for success.
- Using filters to improve your landscape photography.
What to bring
- Camera and lenses.
- Footwear suitable for being among the rocks on the beach.
- Tripod - I do have one spare (message me if you'd like to use it).
- Neutral Density Filters if you have these, ideally both a 6-stop and a 10-stop ND filter (I will have some spare filters for people to try - message me beforehand if you would like to so I know your lens size).
