About the event

This is a workshop on how to capture those photos you've always wanted to shoot but didnt know how. We will focus on in camera technique and mastering the mystery buttons on your camera. You can bring your own ideas and we'll explore them together, or you can just bring yourself and your camera gear and I'll show you my favourite spots around Sydney harbour for capturing beautiful pics. You'll go home with renewed confidence in new found skills. Suitable also for intermediate photographers who are 'stuck' mastering the next level of skill. Flexible dates currently available upon negotiation up until May 4 2019. Just drop me an email so we can discuss a suitable date and time.

Techniques covered

  • Understanding your camera.
  • Long exposure / depth of field / focal points
  • What on earth does that F-stop mean?
  • Good composition v Bad composition
  • Camera settings for photographing animals -  ie dogs and birds
  • Shooting fast / Shooting slow.

What to bring

  • Camera / Tripod / filters if you have them
  • Your camera manual ( especially if you dont have a Sony camera )
  • Shutter release ( or the Sony app on your smartphone )
  • memory cards / camera batteries.
