About the event
We start our adventure with the sub-alpine landscape progressing through stands of century old snow gums then on to expansive views out to Mount Kosciuszko. The snow gums are dramatically twisted and stunted by the effects of wind, snow and ice. Their trunks offer a variety of colours and patterns. We follow crystal clear alpine streams , cascading between snow covered granite boulders, and track bBrumbies on the low lying pastures sheltering from the snow. Our luxury lakeside accommodation has a warming fire with an optional glass of schnapps.
The workshop commences and concludes in Lake Crackenback Resort. We have extensive experience in the Australian Alps and respect the unpredictable nature of the Alpine environment, which can be sunny one moment and a freezing blizzard the next. We advise you how to keep you and your equipment warm, safe and dry.
Some of the natural features on our itinerary are : • Snow Gums • Snow lined streams • Granite boulder landscapes • Alpine Wildlife • The Australian Brumby With some manmade features including: • Overland Snow Transport • Wild Brumby Schnapps Distillery (The butterscotch version is delicious)
Cost is $3500 for single person in queen room, or $2950 for a couple.
