Exclusive after-hours tour & sunset shoot at Alphra Lavender farm

About the event

Join me for an exclusive after-hours tour and sunset shoot at the Alphra Lavender farm in the Waikato. The farm is usually only open between 10am-4pm so take advantage of my official photographer access and join me for this unique event.

We will commence the evening with a short tour of the farm with owners Julie & Bernie before capturing a (hopefully stunning!) sunset over the lavender fields.

I will be on hand to help you with composition, camera settings and how to get a variety of beautiful sunset shots in this unique location.

Note: In the event of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled to the following evening Sunday 20 December (so please keep both nights free as no refund will be available unless both nights are cancelled).

Due to popular request: a second evening is being held on Tuesday 22 December (with back up date in the event of bad weather Wednesday 23rd December, please make sure you can attend both evenings if you book this night).

Please note: you don't need to use a Sony camera to join me for this experience.

The cover charge for this event will go to Alphra Lavender.

Techniques covered

  • The art of good composition.
  • The best camera settings to capture sunset.
  • Using filters in landscape photography.

What to bring

  • Camera and lenses (a point and shoot camera is fine for this event but you will get the most from the evening if you have a camera with interchangeable lenses).
  • Tripod (you will need this when the light gets low). I have one spare tripod available, message me beforehand if you'd like to borrow it.
  • A graduated ND filter - I have some spare filters so please message me beforehand if you'd like to use a set so I can check for sizing.
