Come and join us for the last Supermoon rise of 2025.

About the event

Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Jay Evans for a special evening of lunar photography as we capture the Supermoon Rise over Sydney from the harbourside vantage points of Pyrmont.

This urban Astromeet provides a unique chance to photograph the full Supermoon as it climbs above the eastern horizon and moves across the Sydney skyline. With city lights reflecting in Darling Harbour, heritage architecture, and dramatic water views, this session blends nightscape photography with cityscape composition, offering a fresh twist on astro.

As part of the evening, you’ll also have the chance to try out Sony loan lenses, with a focus on telephoto options—perfect for lunar photography. This session is not just about creating incredible images but also about learning how to get the best results from your Sony cameras and lenses, while connecting with other photographers in a fun and supportive group environment.
