Join me for an in-depth session where I'll walk you through my approach to hybrid shooting. You'll learn how to capture both high-quality photos and cinemnatic video simultanenously, to bring your storytelling to life.
In this session, I’ll cover the core fundamentals, including:
- My goals and mindset behind hybrid shooting
- How I structure shoots for both photo and video
- Apps that help me plan my shoots
- The gear I rely on in the field
- How to have your camera set up effiecently
The session will conclude with an open Q&A session, where you’ll have the opportunity to ask me anything about my creative process, gear set-up, or shooting techniques.

About me
I’m Scott Howes, an English lad who escaped the 9 to 5 city life of London and ended up telling stories for brands on the other side of the world in beautiful Aotearoa, New Zealand.
I'd say I'm first and foremost a photographer, but as the landscape of the industry has changed over recent years videography is now a major part of my job. I enjoy capturing everyday moments and I've never limited myself to one genre of photography as I just love taking photos and videos of whatever is in front of me.
Having a camera that allows me to capture both photo and video in a single package has allowed me to carry less gear and concentrate on what really matters, storytelling.
I'm excited to share with you the skills I've learned over recent years and the things that work for me to ensure I'm capturing high-quality imagery and video simultaneously.
