Short walk around Westmere followed by a photo review session

About the event

Enjoy an informal photo walk in Westmere, Auckland. Depending on the weather, we will explore Jaggers Bush Reserve (https://goo.gl/maps/edtFHhX38aSyNk8u9) or hang out in the Garnet Station Tiny Theatre and shoot under shelter.

Note: there are some steep bits and it could be muddy or slippery in Jaggers Bush. If you wish, you can explore the very pleasant suburb of Westmere which is mostly flat.

Open to all photographers - any level, any make of camera (including smartphones) - this is a fun amble with fellow photographers to pick up tips and ideas, share experiences, ask questions.

After the walk, we return to the Tiny Theatre to give feedback on a sample of pictures made during the walk (photographers will be randomly chosen). This instant feedback is the part many workshop attendees find most useful and productive, even if it's not your own photograph being discussed. That's because you were in the same place, and had the same shooting conditions. It's a powerful, motivating way to learn.

No problem. Use your smartphone (bear in mind it may be tricky to transfer photos to laptop). Sony policy at present prohibits loan of equipment, but that may change by the time of the workshop.
