About the event
Join Robin in her deep love for whales at an unforgettable event that will leave you smiling. Witness the magic of the southern humpback migration as playful juveniles journey along the coast and majestic mothers teach their calves to breach, pec-slap, and tail-lob—building strength for the long voyage back to Antarctica.
Robin has spent over a decade photographing these delightful mammals on their journeys north and south, understanding their behavioural patterns adds to your pleasure in watching their behaviour. She has spent a number of seasons swimming amongst them in the waters of Tonga, and photographing them from Antarctica and every trip out onto the ocean brings joy as we interact with these delightful and sociable mammals.
If you’re a keen wildlife photographer , or just an enthusiastic beginner, a day photographing whales will challenge and enhance your skill set. Keep your camera ready though as there are amazing albatross, diving gannets and petrels gliding over the waters to capture and often sneaky dolphins riding the stern waves. There's never a dull moment on the ocean!
Spend a morning on board with the Go Whale Watching crew onboard their lighter and faster boat 'Explorer ' where you can shoot the whales from the perspective of the waterline. Free tea and coffee is served inside Sydney Harbour and bathroom facilities available.
At this time of year there is a 100% whale sighting guarantee , if the unthinkable happens and we dont see one, a free return cruise will be offered.
