Join us for 4 days exploring the Wonder of Waterfalls in the Blue Mountains

About the event

Come and join Jay for an Epic 4 day photography tour exploring the Wonder of Waterfalls in the Blue Mountains, where you will be guided around the best falls in the area and coached on capturing flowing water using long exposure techniques, filters, and composition.

This exciting tour spans 4 days and not only gets you in front of some of the Blue Mountains best known falls, you will also be guided through the mesmerising scenery of ferns and eucalyptus trees, down some incredible bush tracks and deep into the gully's to locate the serene flowing waters as they tumble into the valleys below. With plenty of time in the evenings to review your images and go through some post processing tutorials to help bring out the best of your waterfall images.

Your accommodation is included throughout your stay in one of our AirBnB style rooms at our Katoomba residence.

Fitness Requirements - You should be of good fitness and mobility to attend this workshop. We will be traversing a number of Blue Mountains National Park bushwalks involving several steep descents and climbs upstairs and over varied rocky and muddy terrain.

Getting There - From Sydney, you will need to make your way to Katoomba by train from Sydney Central Station. Trains depart hourly throughout the day and take approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive at Katoomba station, I will be there to meet you. If arriving on the first day of your tour, please ensure you arrive by 7:30AM. Please be aware that due to recent flood damage, some trains may be delayed or replaced by a bus service from Springwood station, although by the time you arrive, trains should be operating as normal once again. I will work with you to ensure you can be collected at the closest railway station in the event of railway closures or changes.

Meals - Meals are not included in your tour cost. Each day we will stop for breakfast, lunch and dinner at a number of outlets, cafes or restaurants around Katoomba, Leura and Blackheath. You are also welcome to bring your own food, or buy locally when you arrive and use our kitchen or BBQ to prepare meals. Katoomba has an array of grocery options including an Organic Co-Op, and Woolworths or Coles supermarkets. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please be sure to let us know before you arrive so we can ensure café choices will be able to cater for you.

Accommodation - Booking a multi-day tour means we provide you with your accommodation in one of our AirBnB style rooms at our Katoomba Residence. With a selection of a Double Room (Double Bed) or Shared Single (2 x King Single Beds) and a shared bathroom. Linen and towels are provided. Our home has a peaceful outlook overlooking a local park from a balcony, and has a fully equipped kitchen, gas BBQ and comfortable living area/studio where we can go through post processing of your images throughout your stay.

Although your tour does not commence until 7:30AM on Saturday 21st March, you are welcome to arrive the night before on Friday 20th to save you the early travel or expense of a hotel for the extra night.
