Clear skies, stunning nightscapes: a 2-day Tasmanian photography chase

About the event

Unleash your adventurous spirit and join our two-day 'Best in Tasmania' Night Photography Chase with Luke Tscharke, a journey of discovery and learning. The adventure starts even before we hit the road with a pre-event Zoom planning session, where we'll discuss our strategy based on the upcoming weather conditions. From the heart of Hobart, we'll embark on a mission to find the clearest skies in Tasmania, a quest which might take us just a few kilometers or perhaps several hours across the state.

This active and flexible experience promises an unforgettable photography adventure. We'll aim to capture the breathtaking sunset, mesmerizing nightscapes, and if we're lucky, the captivating Aurora Australis and glowing bioluminescence. Luke will not only guide but join in the photography, ensuring we're always in the perfect spot to get those awe-inspiring shots.

Participants should be prepared for some potential travel time as almost all of Tasmania is in play, but rest assured, safety is always a priority, and we journey at a sensible pace. Accommodation, arranged in twin-share or private rooms where possible, along with ground transportation during the event, is included, while meals are not.

One of the unique aspects of this chase is its exclusive, intimate nature. With a maximum of just three participants, our group size is intentionally small. This offers us more flexibility to adapt to changing conditions on the go, making the experience more personal and fulfilling for you. The small group size also means fewer people in your shot, giving you more freedom to compose and capture those once-in-a-lifetime scenes.

Our chase is not just about the gear you bring or your skill level; it's about shared passion and commitment to create something beautiful. With a start time of 10 am on day one and a return to Hobart by 4 pm the following day, it's designed to work even for those travelling from the mainland – you might not even need to take a day off work!

Join us for an immersive photography experience, designed for those with a can-do attitude and a love for the outdoors. We're all about creating an exciting, safe, and supportive environment where we can all learn and grow together. We'll cover all the essential details in the pre-chase Zoom meeting to ensure you're fully prepared for this unique adventure. Don't miss your chance to be part of this exciting journey, secure your spot today!
