About Christian Saluto

Christian Saluto is an Australian filmmaker, writer, Actor-director and content creator with an audience of nearly three million people across social media. His work focuses on making filmmaking accessible, practical and exciting for the next generation of creators.

Christian has worked across feature films, short films and commercial productions in roles spanning directing, acting, writing, cinematography, editing and colour grading. He has written multiple feature screenplays and has developed and directed ambitious independent projects, including a Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired proof-of-concept film shot on the Sony FX6. His professional film experience also includes work on feature productions such as Death in Shoreditch.

Alongside narrative filmmaking, Christian has built a large online audience by breaking down cinematography, storytelling, cameras, lighting, editing and the psychology behind why films look and feel the way they do. His filmmaking content has also led to collaborations with major technology and cinema brands.

Christian brings that experience back to the fundamentals, teaching beginners how to structure a screenplay, compose purposeful images, use light and sound to tell a story, direct a scene, and ultimately turn an idea into a finished film.

Whether you’re picking up a camera for the first time or trying to take your filmmaking more seriously, this course is designed to give you the foundation Christian wishes he had when he starteds.
