Have you always wanted to capture photographs at night time but dont know where to start?
Join me as we go through the basics of night photography in the city. You'll learn how to properly expose your images at night time, how to frame them and also how to be more creative with night photography! This workshop will be held at Aucklands Westhaven Marina.
At this workshop you'll get the chance to photograph Long Exposures, Cityscapes & Experiment with long exposure light painting.
This workshop is solely focused on the basics of night photography at a beginner level - if you havent photographed in the night before this workshop is for you!
Workshop Date: Saturday 17th June 2023 6:30PM - 9PM
Back up date: Sunday 18th June is the back up date in case of bad weather, please make sure that you can attend both nights if you are planning on attending this workshop as there will be no refunds given.
If both of the evenings are not suitable due to weather and the event is canceled by me, a full refund will be given.
Itinerary:
We'll meet at the meet up location & spend the first 15 Minutes of the session to go through our camera gear and settings.
We'll then head to 2 - 3 other locations where you will learn night photography. These locations are all within walking distance from each other (5 - 10 Minute walk)
This workshop is strictly limited to 5 People so that I can spend plenty of one on one time with you and ensure that you all go home with an image that you are happy with.

What to bring
- DSLR or Mirrorless Camera - Please ensure your camera has a M or A (Av) option on the dial as we will be photographing in Manual/Aperture Priority Mode.
- Camera Lens.
- SD Card/s - Bring a spare if possible.
- Camera battery - Bring a spare if possible.
- Camera Tripod.
- Warm Clothing + Comfortable walking shoes.
- Water & Snacks.
- Notepad & Pen.
