Capture sunrise & golden hour at Rotorua's best landscape locations

About the event

Join me to welcome the day at one of NZ's best sunrise locations, Lake Tarawera, followed by a walk through the Redwoods to shoot the forest during golden hour light.

We'll meet at 6.30am at Rangiuru Bay at Lake Tarawera to shoot sunrise among the various jetties on the lakefront. I'll be on hand to talk you through the best camera settings and filters to use and how to best utilise the lighting conditions on the day to capture stunning landscape images.

If you don't own filters please message me below so I can arrange a set to borrow for the workshop.

We will shoot at a couple of different locations along the lake as time allows, before heading to The Redwoods to capture the amazing morning light as it filters through the forest during golden hour, and maybe even a sunstar or two.

We'll finish up with coffee and brunch at a local cafe for those who are keen after the workshop officially concludes.

Please note: you do not have to shoot with Sony equipment to benefit from the workshop, however if you are interested in trying any Sony gear please let me know so I can arrange this for the workshop.

In the event of bad weather, the workshop will be rescheduled to the following morning, so please keep both Saturday and Sunday mornings free. A refund will only be available if both days have to be cancelled.

Also consider attending my online courses: Creating Art in Landscapes with Long Exposures before you attend this workshop so you can hit the ground running on the day, and Learn to Love Lightroom which will be held online straight after the workshop on March 15 and March 22, so you can also learn how to beautifully edit the images you'll capture during the workshop.
