A 2 day photo tour of the Blue Mountains with your accommodation included

About the event

Join Jay over two days as he guides you around the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area helping you develop your Landscape Photopgraphy Skills and Post Processing Techniques while capturing the captivating beauty of this superlative natural landscape.

Ideal for all experience levels. This tour takes you to majestic lookouts with sublime sunrise and sunset views. You'll descend deep into fern and moss lined gullys to get up close and personal to some of the most stunning waterfalls and visit deep water filled canyons to capture blazing sunbeams. Learn about the forgotten industrial heritage of the Blue Mountains and gaze at the stars in the darkest skies to capture some Astro images.

Arriving the night before, we will check you into your rooms at our AirBnB-style accommodation and go through some introductions, safety discussions and equipment preparation before retiring, ready to rise for our first sunrise the following day.

You will be driven from our Katoomba accommodation to each location in our 4WD tour vehicle, and safely guided through the landscape across bush tracks. We'll provide expert tuition on location to help you get the best out of your camera. We'll cover important safety considerations of outdoor and wilderness photography, discuss the best equipment and which settings to choose for various times of day, tutor you on filters and long exposure techniques, and guide you through how composition can dramatically improve your images.

There is no better way to experience the splendour of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains, and this tour has something for everyone. Even non-photographers will see parts of this magical area in a different light, with your tour guide providing plenty of interpretation of the mountains natural values.

Fitness Requirements - You should be of good fitness and mobility to attend this tour. We will be traversing a number of Blue Mountains National Park bushwalks involving clambering up and down steep staircases and over varied rocky and muddy terrain.

Meals - No Meals will be provided, however we will stop for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at local outlets including takeout dinners to eat while we go through our post processing sessions.

Accommodation - Your accommodation is included with the tour, where you will stay with us at our Katoomba residence. Importantly, this will be like an AirBnB stayover where we open our home to you to enjoy during the tour.
