Learn how to capture Mountain Biking in an outdoor environment

About the event

Learn the art of Mountain Biking (MTB) photography and techniques to help you capture the action. Meet and work with a crazy crew of MTB boys who aren't afraid of fast turns and insane jumps!

You will learn how to work with natural light while capturing a fast moving subject in an outdoor rugged environment. The bike park features downhill trails, jump areas, a pump track and much more. You will learn techniques on how to capture MTB action across these different trails, while feeling the adrenalin rush!

Please note: Make sure you wear closed shoes, if you have hiking shoes or equivalent, would strongly advise otherwise a decent pair of sneakers with solid grip will be fine. It can be muddy and wet and the terrain is rocky with some slopes. Safety First!!

Techniques covered

  • Using the camera in manual mode
  • Composition and best angles to shoot
  • Track moving subjects in auto mode
  • How to capture the action “manoeuvres” and tricks in a dirt park
