About the event

Hey everyone! It's that time of year again – the annual night photo walk through the streets of Hobart is back! I'm excited to team up with Sony Australia and Stallards Camera House once more to bring you this fun event.

To make things easier for you, we're offering two dates to choose from:

  • Photo Walk 1: Friday, 14th June from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Photo Walk 2: Saturday, 15th June from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

We'll meet at Stallards Camera House (66-68 Elizabeth Street Hobart), and then hit the streets, focusing on some key techniques to help you take your night photography to the next level. We'll dive into the art of capturing the city's beauty at night, mastering long exposure shots, working with and around light pollution, and exploring street photography to capture candid moments and interesting compositions. I'll be there to guide you through these techniques and help you get some amazing shots along the way.

The best part? Our photo walk will end at the Winter Feast, and Sony Australia has generously covered your entry fee! You'll have the opportunity to photograph the festival's amazing installations and decorations, taking your night photography to the next level. Keep in mind that you'll need to purchase your own meals at the Winter Feast, but the entry is taken care of. Plus, Sony Australia will be providing some loan equipment for you to try out during the event.

It's a great chance to experiment with different gear and see what works best for you. Whether you choose to join us on Friday or Saturday, you're in for a great time. It's always a lot of fun, and the best part is that it's completely free to register! So, grab your camera and come along for a night of photography, fun, and exploration in Hobart. I can't wait to see you there!
