About the event
Join me, Luke Nicholas, for a casual photo walk and meet up at Auckland's Westhaven Marina!
Photographers, videographers and creatives of all ages and levels of experience are welcome to attend. As this is a casual event there won't be any formal techniques covered on the evening - the aim is to bring the local photographic community together.
If you're just starting out in photography and looking to make new friends in the local scene, or simply keen to catch up with others and talk about all things photography, then this is the event is for you!
We'll meet at Auckland's Westhaven Beach at 5pm. Then we'll take a short walk along Westhaven Drive to some of my favourite photo locations.
You'll then have the chance to capture views of Auckland City, explore some hidden photography spots and (hopefully) capture an amazing sunset!
There will also be a "Photo of the Night" competition, with a small Sony Alpha prize pack up for grabs! (More details will be revealed on the night.)
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
* You don't need a Sony Alpha camera to attend this event, any camera brand is welcome!
* Please only book tickets if you are certain that you can attend.
* Due to the uncertainty of the weather over the winter months this event may be postponed to a later date.

Techniques covered
- No specific techniques will be covered on the evening, but I will be available to offer advice about camera settings and answer any questions that may arise
What to bring
- Camera and lenses
- Lightweight tripod (gor night photography and long exposures)
- Spare memory cards and batteries
- Shoes suitable for walking
- Water and snacks
