About the event

Join professional photographer and Sony advocate Jay Evans for a full-day, immersive landscape photography tour through the stunning Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. This small-group, hands-on workshop is designed for photographers of all skill levels and offers a unique opportunity to test the powerful new Sony FE 16mm F1.8 G lens—a lightweight, ultra-wide-angle prime ideal for low-light and sweeping landscape scenes.

From sunrise to sunset, you’ll capture majestic valleys, dramatic cliffs, and eucalyptus-draped ridgelines while receiving expert instruction in the field. Return transport from Sydney, meals, and Sony gear are all included.


🎯 What We Will Do

Spend the day exploring a curated route of iconic Blue Mountains lookouts, learning how to master light, composition, and camera settings to elevate your landscape photography.

  • 🪪 Provide a valid photo ID (Driver's License or NSW Photo Card)

    Loan gear is participant's responsibility during the event

This tour includes short walks on uneven terrain and some stairs to reach the lookouts. Participants should have a moderate level of fitness and mobility. Not suitable for those with limited walking ability or injuries.

Yes! We have a limited number of Sony Alpha camera bodies and Sony FE 16mm F1.8 G lenses available for loan during the event. Just bring a blank SD card (32GB or larger) and a valid photo ID (such as a driver’s license or NSW Photo Card) to access the loan gear on the day.
Yes, breakfast and lunch are included as part of the workshop. Set menu options will be available at selected cafés throughout the day, and bottled water will also be provided. Just bring any extra snacks you might like and let us know if you have any dietary requirements when booking.
The Blue Mountains can be very cold in winter, especially at sunrise and sunset. We recommend dressing in warm, layered clothing so you can adjust throughout the day. Bring a weatherproof winter jacket or coat. Don’t forget a beanie, gloves, and a scarf to stay comfortable during those chilly moments. Sturdy hiking shoes or boots with warm socks are essential, as we’ll be walking on uneven terrain.

Yes, we will meet at Central Station in Sydney at 5AM. We will meet in the parking area outside the Upper Concourse (platforms 1 to 15). Please ensure to arrive on time as we will be departing promptly at 5:15AM.
