What is the difference between focal lengths?
Focal length, usually represented in millimeters, describes the angle of view for a camera lens. The shorter the focal length, eg 24mm, offers a wider angle of view and lower magnification, good for landscapes. The longer the focal length, eg 200mm, offers a narrower angle of view and higher magnification, good for wildlife and bird photography.
